Marine Fire Services (MFS) was acquired at the beginning of 2023, opening ARA Marine’s capabilities and services within the New Zealand market. MFS Ltd has grown from the mid 1980’s to become a trusted provider of marine fire safety solutions, with a team of experienced and qualified technicians who are experts in their field.
Marine Fire Services bring 30 years of Marine Fire & Safety equipment service experience that expands on the capabilities of ARA Marine.
ARA Marine will now be operating at the Ports of Auckland, Christchurch Lyttelton, & Tauranga New Zealand, and able to offer services on-site 24/7 with their mobile workshop facilities. All MFS’s work is strictly performed in accordance with current SOLAS / IMO Regulations together with the relevant Flag State and manufacturers requirements.

ARA Marine has fully equipped facilities and highly trained and accredited service technicians. In addition, ARA Marine has a team of mobile service technicians who are on-call 24/7 for deployment throughout New Zealand and into the Pacific.

ARA Marine specialises in lifeboats, fast rescue craft, rescue boats, davits, winches, hooks, and life raft servicing. We are industry leaders in inspecting, testing, service, maintaining and recertifying.
Ships, boats and davits
ARA Marine provides ship, boat, and davit inspection and repair services compliant to IMO MSC 402(96) and SOLAS Chapter III which require five yearly inspections.
Breathing air systems
Our technicians are OEM accredited and experienced in the inspection, testing, service, maintenance, and certification of breathing air compressors and breathing apparatus onshore and offshore.
