ARA Marine provide breathing air sample analysis, hydrostatic testing, and certification, as well as hire breathing apparatus and cylinders.
Servicing is completed to the current standards and regulations as governed by national authority safety regulations, flag state, classification society or OEM requirements. ARA Marine is also an approved hyperbaric repairer with the Australian Department of Defence.
As with fire appliances, there are certain elements which cannot be completed in-situ due to the level and sensitivity of test equipment required. In many of these cases, recertification can be carried out by our on-site team. If equipment must be sent to one of our facilities for service or repair, ARA Marine can provide substitute equipment for short or long-term hire to cover the site/vessel’s safety responsibilities.
ARA Marine aims to deliver the highest quality breathing apparatus products and services available, exceeding the demands of the most safety conscious customer.

Located in all major ports in Australia, ARA Marine provides on-site air quality testing adhering to all the regulatory requirements. IMO guidelines MSC/Circ. 850 recommends annual testing of air quality from BA sets, escape sets and breathing air compressors. The air quality should confirm to EN 12021.
We stock and supply breathing air quality test kit as per IMO guidelines. The test kit is compact, easy to operate and can be used to indicate the level of contamination, as well as, operating flow, temperature and pressure.
